Hello. My name is Leo John Henry Francovich. This is my first entry. I made the decision to start blogging after I was inspired by my brother's blogs. So here is an introduction...
I, Leo, am a junior in high school at the Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy. I have been attending charter since the sixth grade. I have lived in Post Falls, Idaho since 2000, and before that I lived in Boise, Idaho. My favorite thing to do is play music, I've been playing piano for nine years. I'm not in a band but I'm trying to be, however, where I go to school academics is the focus and not many people play anything but band instruments.
Other than music I play basketball. I play for my school on varsity. I'm about 6' so I have decent height. What I'm a lot better at but I can't stand is running. I went to state last year in track for the 2 mile race. I got ninth. However, I hate it. I've never done cross country except for middle school but I think I will run next fall.
I don't have a religion, persay, but I am not an atheist. I would consider myself a deist, I believe in a watchmaker God. At the same time I am an existentialist, by logic, I rationally explain to myself that there is no evidence for a God, that life is absurd, and that there is no way we can ever know anything. Life is pointless. However, something holds me back from fully accepting that view. So I believe in a mysterious spiritual force that could be called a God, I guess.
I think a lot, sometimes too much. Often I find myself wondering the same things: who am I? Why am I here? What is life? And everytime I come to the same conclusion, made familiar by a Jack Johnson song "never knowing, we're shocking but we're nothing, we're just moments, we're clever but we're clueless, we're just human, amusing and confusing, we're trying but where is this all leading? we'll never know"
I don't think we will ever know.
However, this blog that was once an introduction has turned into a discussion of the universe. I digress.
I have several dreams in life.
1. Be a professional musician (whatever that means)
2. Open a very cool little coffee shop in a city, open 24 hours, very cool
3. Be a literature teacher or professor
Those are the ones right now. Who knows, things change.
Anyways, this has been a very rambling and uncentered introduction. Exploring the cluttered mind of a 16 year old kid.
